We live in an interconnected world. The pollution from industrialized countries like Canada impacts people in the Global South. Pray for those who suffer the consequences of our pollution.

Photo: Chief Sunday Kpabari, leader of the Bue-Leh community, who had to flee his home. The only water point in the community (behing him) is completely polluted.

"In 2008, an oil spill destroyed the only source of drinking water we had. Our farmland has been damaged by pollution. We all tried to survive and stay here in Bue-Leh, but it was not possible. There was no drinking water, no farming possible, and our children became sick and died because of the polluted water we drank. Everyone was forced to flee and we scattered elsewhere. Some are in Gwawa with me, others in Teera-Ue, Bori and Port Harcourt." View more of his testimonial in this video.
