International Programs
Community Development Programs
Our programs in the Global South are driven by the need to create greater social justice in the world by addressing the root causes of poverty and injustice.
We believe that for development to be sustainable, local people must be the major stakeholders in the development projects that affect them. For this reason, we favour an approach whereby we partner with local grassroots organizations and social movements that have shown energy, creativity and a proven ability to address the needs of their community. We provide them with financial and technical support so that they can carry out their important work.
Emergencies
We take part in emergency relief and reconstruction work in response to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Our approach is rooted in recognizing the continuous interconnection between emergencies and long term development so that we can contribute to real and lasting change. Our emergency programs usually include a first response to humanitarian needs and a second response in helping communities rebuild and become more resilient.

Whether it be helping domestic workers attain regulated working conditions in Bolivia or communities in Nigeria fight against forced evictions, the actions we take through our programs and partners are creating a world where there is justice for all and where people come first.
