Organizer's Guide
Included in the Order Kit, the Organizer’s Guide contains suggestions on how to get ready for and organize the campaign, have the action cards signed, communicate through the media and meet with your MP. It also contains a letter from the Executive Director of Development and Peace as well as the prayer on the Prayer Card.

Action Sheet
The action sheet introduces the campaign and action. It contains testimonials from affected citizens and Church leaders in Honduras, Madagascar, Peru and the Philippines. It also contains a chronology of Development and Peace’s advocacy work on mining since 2006 and a Snakes and Ladders game to better understand the difference between an independent ombudsman and a CSR Counsellor.

Action Card
Addressed to Members of Parliament, the Action Card calls for the creation of a legislated, extractive sector ombudsman in Canada. Supporters of the campaign can sign the card and send it to the Development and Peace office in Montreal (it includes prepaid postage). Development and Peace will present the cards to respective MPs in Ottawa in May 2014.

Student Activity Guide
New this year! The Student Activity Guide is for youth leaders and teachers and describes a 60 to 90-minute “cookie mining” activity designed for 6-17 year-olds. It is an interactive experience to SEE the ecological and human impacts of mining, to JUDGE the situation using Catholic Social Teaching, and to ACT in solidarity.
